james.haigh updated JITSI-934:

    Attachment: 3312-2011-02-23 at 21.14.56-logs.zip

This is the latest data that I collected. It is from an attempted call when I was on holiday in Andorra. I collected the logs and a Wireshark dump.

Soldeu, Andorra:
UPnP enabled router
Thinkpad laptop:
 - Ubuntu 10.04 i386, SC 3312 with experimental UPnP enabled

Girlfriend's house:
BT broadband with BT Home Hub (UPnP probably enabled)
MacBook Pro:
 - Mac OS X 10.6.5, SC 3284 with experimental UPnP enabled

At 18:35:10 GMT I called her. (ICE failed.)
At 18:35:43 GMT she called me. (ICE failed.)

> When Jitsi tries to set up port mapping as part of the ICE process, the router doesn't respond to the UPnP discovery broadcast sent by Jitsi. This causes the ICE process to fail.
> Routers respond to the discovery broadcasts of other programs, and they are able to set up port mappings.
> I have selected the priority as critical because:
> * This bug makes Jitsi almost unusable for me and some people I know.
> * SC/Jitsi is now beta so it's bugs should be less severe.
> * This is an old bug which I drew attention to weeks ago on dev.
